Evensong & Benediction

Let my prayer rise before you as incense

Sundays at 5:00 pm

Evensong is the sung form of Evening Prayer, and Benediction is a time of adoration before the Blessed Sacrament. It is a beautiful time of chants, candles, incense, readings, and prayer, and this service is a hallmark of Anglican spirituality. The choir sings occasionally, and when the choir is not singing, this service is lead by organist and cantor. The service includes a sermon.

For those who wish to make their communion on Sunday evenings, the Liturgy of Holy Communion is celebrated after Evensong and Benediction in the Saint Mary Chapel. Those who wish to make their communion should attend Evensong and Benediction as the Liturgy of the Word. After the final organ voluntary, please proceed to the chapel.
