Hale Kipa’s Youth Outreach (YO) serves as a safe haven for homeless youths, offering medical care, social services and non-judgmental support along with food, hot shower, and clothing. Located in Waikiki, the agency serves at-risk homeless youth five days a week - Monday through Friday.
Help us prepare delicious meals.
St. Mark’s provides delicious hot meals for Youth Outreach every Friday after school. Sign-up in the back of the church to help with cooking, shopping, and delivering of the meals. Meals are prepared on Thursday evenings and Fridays. You may also sign up online.
Here are some others ways you can help.
Want to donate clothing?
We are collecting gently used or new clothing for children and youth inclusive of ages 7-22. Youth Outreach especially needs new underwear for youth, as well as sturdy backpacks. For the young men, boxers and boxer briefs are preferred. Regular briefs are not popular.
We need snacks!
We need packages of granola bars, fruit cups, pudding cups, snack bags of chips, and anything else young people might like for a snack. Individually wrapped items are the best.
What about hygiene products?
Yes, these are very useful too. Toothpaste, toothbrushes, dental floss, shampoo, soap, conditioner, body lotion, feminine supplies, and anything else a teenager might need are helpful. Medium-sized containers of shampoo and conditioner are the most helpful, as they fit into backpacks nicely. Hotel sized containers are generally not useful, and large containers are too bulky.
Want to make a financial donation?
To donate money for the ministry, please make your check out to St. Mark's Episcopal Church, writing on the memo line "Youth Outreach."
