Steven Severin

Organist

Steven Severin, raised in central Oʻahu, has studied the piano since he was eight years old and earned a bachelor's degree from University of Hawai'i at Mānoa, and a masters degree from University of Texas at Austin, both in piano performance. As a performer he focuses on collaborative music—providing accompaniment for soloists, chamber ensembles, and choirs. Aside from his work at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, he also accompanies the Gay Men’s Chorus of Honolulu, the women’s chamber choir Nā Wai, and the Cantilena ensemble of the Hawaiʻi Youth Opera Chorus. His wife, Erin Keakealani Richardson, sings in the St. Mark's Choir.
