Kama'aina Kids Preschool & Daycare at St. Mark's
We have a bustling Preschool and Daycare of over 100 children. The Preschool services families with children ages six weeks to five years old. Included in our school districts are Liholiho, Ala Wai, Waikiki, and Jefferson. Our school is located in an area that supports students who are attending or working at the University of Hawai'i, Kapi'olani Community College and Chaminade University. We are open Monday through Friday from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm.
We have five classes with teachers who are educated with degrees and training that support their ability to provide ongoing quality care. In each class we have a lead teacher and an assistant. In our Infant Toddler Program we have three trained caregivers. Our school is accredited by the National Early Childhood Program Accreditation Body ensuring a quality based program, site, and staff.
Our curriculum is Creative Curriculum. This curriculum is a blueprint for planning and implementing a developmentally appropriate program. It has proven effective in helping children acquire the social competence and skills they need to succeed as learners. Our goal is to create a classroom where children can thrive. We focus on four developmental areas: Social/Emotional, Physical, Cognitive and Language.
We are a year-round program, accepting children for enrollment at anytime. We are very accommodating towards our parents and their need for care. We invite you to call our school and schedule a tour. We close for one week a year, usually at the end of July.
We accept a variety of payment methods including major credit cards, debit cards and tuition assistance including DHS, Pauahi Keiki Scholars, NACCRRA, and Keiki O Ka ʻĀina. Scholarships from Kama'aina Kids may also be available. For more information about the preschool, call the preschool office at (808) 734-6112 and schedule a tour. We would be happy to welcome you.
