Choirmaster Michael Dupre attended the University of Hawai‘i at Manoa, where he studied choral music education. He is also a trained soloist, having studied under John Mount. He has sung with all of the UH choirs including the UH Chamber Singers; he sang with the late David Kayner and Cantores Hemolele; he has sung for Tim Carney with the Hawaii Vocal Arts Ensemble; and before moving into the choirmaster position, Mike was the tenor section leader at St. Mark's for many years. He currently holds a job as a choral artist with the Oahu Choral Society, under the direction of Dr. Esther Yoo.
During the week you can find him serving up everyone's favorite coffee at Starbucks Kahala.
Mike came to the faith through the choir at St. Mark's, and he was baptized as an adult at the Easter Vigil having participated in the Catechumenate.
