Choirmaster Michael Dupre attended the University of Hawaii at Manoa, where he studied choral music education. He is also a trained soloist, studying under John Mount. He has sung with all of the UH choirs including the UH Chamber Singers; sang with David Kayner and Cantores Hemolele; sung for Tim Carney with the Hawaii Vocal Arts Ensemble; and before moving into the choirmaster position, was the tenor section leader at St. Mark's for many years. Mike also was involved in the forming of the Hawaii Sacred Choir under Dan Werning. He currently holds a job as a choral artist with the Oahu Choral Society, under the direction of Dr. Esther Yoo.
