The Guild of Saint Benedict

The Liturgy of the Hours

The Guild of Saint Benedict is composed of those persons who are dedicated to praying the Liturgy of the Hours, also known as the Daily Office.

In addition to the regular celebration of the mass on Sundays, weekdays, and feast days, the Church throughout the ages has centered each day with psalmody, prayer, praise, and Scripture reading. Members of the Guild pray the traditional pre-Reformation Office of seven hours: Matins, Lauds, Terce, Sext, None, Vespers, and Compline. The Guild supports one another in this devotion by praying Vespers on Saturdays and feast days together, and by meeting monthly in a small group for prayer, discussion, and fellowship.

If you are interested in the work of the Guild of Saint Benedict, please speak with the Rector for more information.
