Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb.

Parish Marian Society

The Guild of the Annunciation is our parish Marian society comprised of members and friends who practice and enjoy Marian devotions. Every Sunday the Guild leads a recitation of the Holy Rosary in the Blessed Virgin Mary Chapel at 10:30 am before the 11:00 am Mass.

On Sunday afternoons, the Guild supports Vespers and Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament, and the Novena of the Guild is prayed at the conclusion of Vespers after the seasonal Marian anthem.

Approximately once a month, the Guild sponsors a Marian Talk after the Sunday High Mass at the Rector’s Forum.

Annunciation Guild Marian Talks

The Marian Talks begin at 12:30 noon in the Parish Hall following the High Mass, and they conclude with time for questions and discussion. This year we are working through Brant Pitre’s book Jesus and the Jewish Roots of Mary. Please join us.

The Angelus

The Angel of the Lord brought tidings unto Mary.
And she conceived by the Holy Spirit.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou amongst women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners,
now, and at the hour of our death.  Amen.

Behold, the handmaid of the Lord;
Be it unto me according to thy word.
Hail Mary . . .

[Genuflect.] The Word was made flesh;
And dwelt among us. [Arise.]
Hail Mary . . .

Pray for us, O holy Mother of God,
That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

Let us pray.
We beseech thee, O Lord,
pour thy grace into our hearts,
that as we have known
the incarnation of thy Son Jesus Christ
by the message of an angel,
so by his cross and passion
we may be brought to the glory of his resurrection;
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen.
