Stewardship Campaign 2026

5 October 2025

Dear Friends of St. Mark’s,

“We are worthless slaves. We have only done what we ought to have done.” (Luke 17:10)

We heard this text last Sunday (October 5) at the masses, and for many of us, it points to a welcomed simplicity and realism regarding stewardship. Sometimes stewardship campaigns in the church become too slick or glossy, using the marketing tactics of the business and advertising worlds. Yet as disciples of Jesus Christ, we do not need to be convinced that we should be supporting the Church with our finances. Our question is not if we should support the church, but rather, how can we be more generous with what God has given us? How are we growing in faith, and how are we realigning the use of our money for God’s purposes?

This year’s stewardship campaign is not featuring any special videos, and we are not employing expensive mailings. Rather, our stewardship campaign is simply the ministry of St. Mark’s. It is the daily masses, the formation studies, the work of the guilds, the support of the neighborhood and preschool, and the people who gather faithfully each Sunday. Our stewardship program is the work that we do together as the people of God, and we are invited to support this ministry with our resources.

Our stewardship campaign is moving online, and you are invited to pledge using the online form below. If you prefer paper, there are pledge forms in the church, and the pledge form may be downloaded from the church website as well. The Vestry asks that we make our pledges before the end of October. The parish Stewardship Ingathering will be celebrated at the Feast of Dedication on Sunday, November 16. We will celebrate together that “we have only done what we ought to have done.” Thank you!
