We love having children in church, but we also know that some of our tiniest members often need some extra attention. St. Mark's provides nursery care during high mass every Sunday of the year. Parents always have the option of keeping their children in church for the entire service, but we also know that sometimes parents need a break. The children are brought into the church at the peace so that they may come to communion with their parents.
ONE LORD, ONE FAITH, ONE BAPTISM
Families may have their newborns baptized at St. Mark's. The parents and sponsors meet with the clergy for instruction prior to the Baptism, and the baptism occurs within the context of public worship. Baptisms are celebrated at the Easter Vigil, the Day of Pentecost, the feast of All Saints, and the Sunday of the Baptism of Christ. Other times may be arranged in consultation with the clergy; however, baptisms are not celebrated during Advent and Lent. Adults and youth who desire to be baptized are encouraged to participate in our Formation Ministries.
